This Band Name Has Gone to Heaven (Viet Cong)

This is round 2 of the controversy around the band formerly known as "Viet Cong" recently changing their name to "Preoccupation" as the result of criticism they received last Fall.

My question for the critics of the name change, why is this so different than Pearl Jam pulling out of their concerts in North Carolina?

Expert Opinions: Rolling Stone Top 40 Punk Albums of All-Time List

In response to the release of Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "Top 40 Punk Rock Albums of All-Time," I started sending out requests to people I respect and asking each of them for 5 albums that they would have included.

I did not just ask random people, these are people who have forgotten more punk than even I know and I have been into punk since 1983.

I'm Not Furious at Rolling Stones Top 40 Punk List

Rolling Stone Magazine just put out their list of the top 40 Punk Albums of all time. Here are my initial thoughts (I am sure I will have more to say later).

LA Weekly's Punk Rock Fantasy

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Ramones album Ramones and also the rise of punk rock in London. Unfortunately, this has caused the punk rock haters to come out of the woodwork to mock punk rock's ultimate impact on music as a whole.

One of these punk rock "hater" articles was published by LA Weekly, this is my response to that and most of the others.
