Pirate Transmission #2 - "Bad Teeth Island"
Another week, another Thursday Spotify Playlist.
The Story Of "Bad Teeth Island"
This one was heavily influenced by what has been going on around my site and discussions about my site. In this case:
* Cosmic Psychos was (for instance) one of the artists that I learned through my "Expert" reaction request for five albums people would have included on Rolling Stone Magazines "Top 40 Punk Rock Albums of All-Time" list.
* Parquet Courts was one of the artists I included in Digital Bin #12
* I found Hunx and his Punx while doing some searches for my response to Rolling Stone's list and was blown away. I was already a big fan of NoBunny! (they toured together apparently but had not personally heard this Seth Bogart project before (Greatness IMHO).
* The inclusion of "Radio Gaga" by Queen was inspired by my "Rockist" or Right post about Lady Gaga's Bowie performance at the Grammy awards this year.
I want to mention, that I wrote some articles earlier in the Fall (maybe last Summer) about the name of the band "Viet Cong," I do love their music, but I am not including them uncritically here (they also are changing or have changed their name since the controversy).
All of my playlist names are inspired by Captain Beefheart,
As usual, there will be links to some information about the artist if you click on their names.
