Have You Heard This (Yet)? Vince Staples + The Raincoats
Have Your Heard This (Yet)?
What albums should you be listening to this week?
If you like listening to albums but don't have time to listen to check out all of the new releases each week (and enjoy my musical taste), let me do the curating for you.
Each week, I share one link to an album that is "new to the world" and one old album that I have recently found or rediscovered (and that might be new to you).

New to the World: Vince Staples - Prima Donna EP
Anyone who has read this blog for any amount of time knows that, despite his hating on 90's hip-hop and his way too accurate slams on me, I love Vince Staples.
This new EP is no exception. Lots of greatness, I actually felt nostalgia for Outkast after hearing "War Ready," "Pimp Hand," and "Big Time" are all serious jams, but I need to spend a bit more time reading the lyrics before fully endorsing them (nervous lol).
No matter what I discover, Vince Staples is still one of the most interesting and talented young voices going in Hip-Hop.
Newly Remembered: The Raincoats - S/T
Recently, Pitchfork - of all people - did a really great feature about women in punk that reminded me of all kind of greatness. But, one album in particular "The Raincoats" by the band of the same name, immediately caused a flood of nostalgic good feelings.
From the iconic cover version of The Kinks Lola to Life on the Line and In Love, this album continues to be a post-punk monster.
Give it a try!
Okay, that is it for today. But as an extra added bonus here is a new song from one of my favorite contemporary bands LA's "No Age"
