Peppers Declares For The NFL

1/10/2017 - There must have been some reason that Jabrill waited a week (after Forbes suggested that Peppers had signed with an agent) to declare for the draft, but it is now official, Jabrill Peppers is NFL bound. Pepper's gave an exclusive interview to Sports Illustrated about his decision. Jabrill is projected to be a first-round pick

Good Luck and Godspeed Jabrill! Thanks for the memories! #GoBlue

Boston College Commit Brandon Sebastian Taking an Official Visit to Ann Arbor

1/10/2017 - Three-Star Cheshire Academy (Conn.) Cornerback Brandon Sebastian, a Boston College commit, announced via Twitter that he is going to take an official visit to The University of Michigan this weekend. If Michigan could flip Sebastian he would be the third cornerback in the class joining four-stars Ambry Thomas and Benjamin St-Juste. Michigan Defensive coordinator Don Brown, who came to Michigan from Boston College, is reportedly very high on Mr. Sebastian.

Michigan Trying to Flip 5 Star Micah Parsons From Penn State

1/10/2017 - 5-Star Defensive End Micah Parsons from Pennsylvania has long been committed to Penn State while remaining open to listening to other schools (Michigan was in Parson's top 6 a month ago). Today, the Wolverine.com is reporting that Michigan has begun to more aggressively pursue Parsons.

Aubrey Solomon "News," 2017 Preview, and More On Pep

1/10/2017 - It is anything but science when people try to look into the crystal ball and predict where recruits will land. Most recently, Najee Harris was predicted to be tilting towards Michigan but ended up in Birmingham (sadly). One week later, we are in the exact same position with the #2 DT in the USA Aubrey Solomon as many are predicting he will choose Michigan (it seems his final two are down to Michigan and Alabama).

In addition, Maize n/ Brew has a nice preview of 5 potential breakout defensive players in 2017. The list includes players you might not yet be aware of at every level of the Defense. There is also a nice breakdown in the same publication of the vast experience that our new QB Coach Pep Hamilton brings to the Wolverines

Finally, I want to mention again how cool it was that Coach Beilein gave Andrew Dakich a scholarship. If you follow Michigan Basketball, you know how cool that is.
