No Family Philosophy Dancing! Playlist
by Joshua B. Hoe
Happy New Years Eve!
This is one of my favorite playlists, I couldn't stop listening to it this week (I usually like the playlists, but rarely become playlist obsessed).
Hopefully, it can make your NYE even better!
1. Pretty Sister, Velocity Girl, Copacetic 2. Brother Bryan, Waxahatchee, Cerulean Salt 3. Caribou, Pixies, Come On Pilgrim 4. Soul and Fire, Sebadoh, Bubble and Scrape 5. My Sister, Juliana Hatfield Three, Become What You Are 6. Ruby Soho, Rancid,...And Out Come The Wolves 7. Genius of Love, Tom Tom Club, Tom Tom Club 8. Dancing in the Dark, Hot Chip, Dancing in the Dark EP 9. No No No, Parquet Courts, Monastic Living 10. Who's the Terrorist Now, MDC, This Bloods For You 11. Intergalactic Solitude, Bachelorette, Isolation Loops 12. Tell Me Something Good, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Return of the "Super Ape"
I started working on this playlist while I was doing the story about the Juliana Hatfield Three, which explains why Waxahatchee, Velocity Girl, and Juliana Hatfield are at the core of the list.
Also really love the Sebadoh song "Soul and Fire" makes me emotional it is so beautiful. The Hot Chip cover of Bruce Springsteen is surprisingly great. Can't hate a cameo by MDC or Lee "Scratch" Perry either (one of the greatest reggae producers of all time).
Hope you are having a wonderful week! Happy New Year!
