Andrew Dakich Awarded Well-Deserved Scholarship

1/9/2017 - Just have to post this, Andrew Dakich blew his redshirt twice because he was forced into action as the result of Michigan Basketball team injuries. Today, Coach Beilein rewarded him with a scholarship. Coach Beilein is good people! Congrats Andrew!

Pep Hamilton to Michigan Is Now Official

1/9/2017 - Everyone was shocked when Jim Harbaugh left the NFL to become a college coach and now Pep Hamilton just left the Cleveland Browns OC/Assistant Head Coach position to join him as the QB's coach at Michigan. Yes, the Pep Hamilton news is now official...All that I can say is wow.

Let me repeat, we have an Offensive Coordinator already (Tim Drevno)...Hamilton just left an OC position in the NFL to be Michigan's QB's coach (The Browns wanted to keep him as of yesterday). #GoBlue!

Vegas + USA Today Say #GoBlue2017

1/9/2017 - Both the Detroit News and the Free Press are reporting that, according to experts in Vegas, the odds the University of Michigan football team wins the 2018 playoff are tied for fourth (with Louisville and LSU at 12 to 1) to win. Ohio State is tied for 3rd (with Oklahoma and USC at 8-1) while Florida State is alone in 2nd (7-1) and Darth Saban is all alone in 1st (at 3-1). Vegas has a lot of faith in Coach Harbaugh given Michigan is losing as many as 16 starters

In other news, USA Today has Michigan ranked #4 in their "super-early" top 25

#GoBlue.

Our 2017 Class is IMPRESSIVE (Bye Najee)

1/9/2017 - It was only a few years ago top recruits would rarely consider Michigan. Too cold, not high profile enough, the Big 10 was a dinosaur conference. What a difference a few years (and one great coach) make. As Lynn Henning reported today, our current recruiting class is darn impressive (we are winning the national and in-state battles):

"Michigan isn’t finished a month before players sign declarations to play with a particular school. But it’s a big class, with 27 prep stars already having said UM is their choice. As many as six more could be part of Harbaugh’s haul, which today is ranked No. 3 in America by Scout.com, No. 4 by Rivals.com. Seven of the top 10 in the Rivals state rankings are committed to Michigan."

Tipping my cap to Coach Harbaugh and his staff!

Mo Wants More (Snaps)

1/9/2017 - Maurice Hurst Jr., one of Michigan's best interior linemen, made the decision to come back for the 2017 season instead of heading to the NFL draft. Maurice has also been one of Michigan's most productive pass rushers has when he is on the field...and therein lies the problem.

Mo has been held to limited snaps in the last two seasons in his rotation with Ryan Glasgow. The news here, as reported by MLive, is that Mo seems to want more  snaps, wants to work on his endurance, and seems ready to embrace a leadership role (he even seems willing to move around as necessary). Given that he will be one of our most experienced and explosive Defensive returners this is all great news for Michigan's defense in 2017.
