The “Second Animal Coffin” #Spotify Playlist (#OPS Transmission #29)

How My #OPS Playlists Saved The World (Or Helped People Waste Time Listening to New Music)

See this content in the original post

No animals were harmed during the making of this playlist.

Every week I put out a new curated playlist for your listening enjoyment (skip down to the next section and hit play if you want to skip the talking).

The goal of each playlist is to present a coherent handshake between alternative music artists and genres from the 1950's through today and to inspire people to explore, enjoy, and share new music (most of the lists start with music from the 70's through today).

Thanks to Spinning Coin, Wimps, Aree and the Pure Heart, and The Afghan Whigs for the likes and Retweets of the Lucy Spinning Coin playlist last week! Much appreciated!

The special playlist this month was called "Women 2016 to the Front" and included only songs from women singers released in 2016.

I love the Bauhaus song, it still hits me right where it matters all these years later. I started listening to Clinic after Thom Yorke kept talking about them back in the 90's. Girpool's album was one of my top ten of 2015.

I call my playlists "Pirate Transmissions" because of the song "This is Radio Clash" by The Clash

The crazy names of the playlists were inspired by Captain Beefheart.

My blog motto is Explore, Enjoy, and Share New Music!
