What Is A Digital Bin

Here we are again, time for another edition of the world's hottest craze (that is, of course, assuming the world is made up of between 50-200 people a week).

Every week, I try to recreate the experience of digging through discount bins at record stores back in the day by creating what I call "Digital Bins" here.

So, without further ado, here are the albums.

Petrichor

Okay, doom metal is not usually my thing, but my friend Argus asked me to check this album out, so I did. And I am glad I did. While I cannot say that I am entirely down with the message, I do really like the music. This is a really good band and a really great album.

Michele Ari

Michelle is a really nice person who is very invested in trying to find a better economic path for independent artists. I believe she is currently working on a project with John Ashton (formerly) of the Psychedelic Furs. She has a very direct and honest vocal style that I enjoy.

Don't always get to talk about multiple Michigan bands in the same year much less the same week. This is a good Punk band from Grand Rapids who sing about a lot of really interesting subjects and sound great too.

Dalek, Asphalt for Eden

Okay, this album is really good. I don't usually put two "labeled" albums on the list. I have already listened to Asphalt for Eden five times since it came out a few days ago. In other words, I strongly endorse this one.

Look, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Pity Sex is from Ann Arbor. In other words, I would push them either way. But, I like this band, and this is a really good album. In other words, give em a listen, you will like them to.
